Calm and Clear… in town


Meditation as taught by the Buddha is much more than a stress management method that promotes well-being in everyday life. The real purpose of meditation is to discover our true nature, who we really are, and thus access the lasting happiness of enlightenment.

This path to enlightenment begins with meditation to quiet the mind, allowing our true nature to gradually manifest. We could call it calm and clear meditation. It's a unique way to spend time with ourself, to make friends with ourself, and to begin to lift the veil on who we really are.

After the whirlwind of the Holidays, we are happy to offer you a calm and clear period of meditation spread over five days, although flexible as to how long each might consider. However, in order to receive several instructions essential to the smooth running of this event (posture, technique, etc.), participants are strongly encouraged to be present Saturday afternoon, the first session. Thereafter and throughout these five days, together, we will practice sitting meditation and walking meditation alternately.

Although the invitation goes out to everyone, it is preferable, if not essential, to have prior knowledge and practical experience of meditation in order to benefit from it as much as possible.
