Meditation, simply

.

The meditation taught by the Buddha is much more than a stress-management method that promotes well-being in daily life. So, what is the purpose of meditation? Why bother sitting silently on a cushion when there are so many other important and interesting things to do? The natural purpose of meditation is to discover our true nature, our authentic nature, and thereby attain the lasting happiness of enlightenment. But how could simply sitting in silence contribute to making the world a better place?

A brand-new course, based on recent teachings by Jetsün Khandro Rinpoche, will be offered in 14 sessions of 120 minutes each, from early October 2026 to mid-April 2027. In addition to theoretical explanations, each session will devote significant time to practice and reflection.

Manon Hotte, an experienced Rigpa instructor, will present over those fourteen weeks a new approach to meditation, unprecedented for many, to such an extent that everyone who listens will find something of value: long-time practitioners will gain inspiring insights they never suspected before, while beginners will learn a way to progress joyfully along the endless path of meditation.
